on friday, december 14, 2012, a shooting took place at an elementary school in newtown, connecticut.

‘Jehovah's Witnesses and the WT Society ALWAYS, ALWAYS print WT or Awake articles patting themselves on the back talking about their own relief efforts of helping MAINLY Jehovah's Witnesses as if to indicate that somehow, someway NOBODY else on planet earth is helping people in disasters ! They are a smug, self serving bunch of people who are taught that people outside of the JW religion are " worldly " and not worth saving unless they show an interest in the WT Society.’

I can’t help but think of the words of the Lord Christ Jesus @ Jh 13:35: ‘By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves’
It is at a time like this that I especially don’t see love among those I congregate with…………………..Jehovah’s Witnesses!
For good reason (as Blondie mentioned) WT has written this study lesson entitled: ‘What Kind Of Spirit Do You Show?’ More to the point, I think a better title may have been: ‘Are You Guilty Of Showing A Loveless Spirit?’
And the most guilty of all is the Leadership (WT GB) of the JW movement!

Sad, but JWs have been conditioned by WT to be disinterested and display ‘could-care-less’ attitude when it comes to the misfortunes of others.
I mentioned in another post, I was at the JW congregation meeting Sunday and not one mention by the visiting speaker in his talk expressing his condolences over this horrific shooting. Not even one mention expressing concern over the loss of life nor for the surviving family members in either the opening or closing meeting prayers. During the WT study, the elder conducting said zip, nada, nothing! No thoughtful words from any of the rank and file during the WT question and answer discussion. I’m sure it was the same loveless spirit in many if not most of the other 100,000+ JW congregations worldwide.
Truly a sad, sad commentary on the kind of loveless spirit the Jehovah’s Witnesses community displays at a time like this!

The title of the lesson: ‘What Kind Of Spirit Do You Show?’
In the tragic school shooting that took place this week in Newtown, Connecticut it was a spirit of sadness, togetherness, understanding and love that was displayed by the ‘worldly’ community for those murdered and for those who lost a loved one.
Compare that spirit to the spirit of the JW community: I was at my JW congregation meeting today and not one mention by the visiting speaker in his talk expressing his condolences over this horrific shooting; and not one mention expressing concern over the loss of life nor for the surviving family members in either the opening or closing meeting prayers. I’m sure it was the same loveless spirit in many if not most of the other 100,000+ JW congregations worldwide.

I get a chuckle when at meeting and they announce there’s a letter that ‘Mother’ has sent and wants read to the congregation. Quite often I already know the contents even before the elders.
And, then there are those BOE letters that are meant only for the elders that I also am privy to thank to Atlantis!
